Azur Promilia describes itself as “creature companion fantasy world RPG” and looks like a mix of Palworld and Genshin Impact. You can learn more about the upcoming role-playing game for PC, PS5, and Mobile at MeinMMO.
What kind of game is this? Azur Promilia is the upcoming game from the creators of Azur Lane, a gacha game where warships are represented by anime girls. However, the announced spin-off is not about war, but rather about cute creatures.
The role-playing game feels like a mix of Palworld and Genshin Impact. The announcement trailer shows an open game world inhabited by fantasy creatures called “Kibo” that players can team up with. Additionally, there are 12 minutes of gameplay available on YouTube.
What does the game look like? In the videos, various characters are seen exploring the game world. By their side are creatures that also serve as mounts and can assist players in combat. Like in Palworld, the player character fights against enemy creatures.
Additionally, it shows a cute being hatching from an egg, which might hint at a breeding system.
Unlike the surprise hit, there seemingly won’t be survival mechanics here. Instead, there will likely be RPG mechanics similar to Genshin Impact. The characters appear to be assigned to an element.
It also seems that players do not create their own character, but rather choose from a pool of pre-made characters and gradually gain new ones – probably through some sort of gacha mechanic.
On the official website of Azur Promilia, pre-registration is already underway. There is no release window yet, but the role-playing game is confirmed for PC, PS5, Android, and iOS.
After the surprise success of Palworld, it is not surprising that other games are increasingly focusing on the concept of creature collectors: A huge gaming company is allegedly even copying the Steam hit Palworld multiple times
