Gotham Knights has a release date: On October 25, 2022, the action starts with Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood. The focus is on a smooth co-op experience for 2 players. MeinMMO introduces you to the title briefly.
With the “Arkhamverse,” Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment created a popular video game series centered around Gotham’s Dark Knight: Batman.
In the titles Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight, we take on well-known villains from the Batman universe and maintain law and order in the city. However, this usually lasts only a few days in Gotham.
However, these adventures were all designed for a solo experience, but now they serve as the foundation for a new co-op game that has a release date: Gotham Knights will be released on October 25.
Different Universe, Same Approach – But in Co-op
Batman is dead, Gotham is defenseless. 4 superheroes set out to control the arch-enemies of the city’s former protector and prevent the collapse of public order.
In Gotham Knights, you play with the trained successors of the Dark Knight: Batgirl, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood.
The title is inspired by the successful Arkham series, giving you 4 completely different fighters and allowing you to experience it all alone or for the first time as a duo.
You solve crimes, hunt down nasty gangsters, and take down opponents with punches and elegant tools that also help you leverage the combat area to your advantage.

Through the 4 playable heroes, each bringing their own combat techniques to the game, the developers aim to elevate the outdated gameplay of the Arkham series to a new level.
Additionally, extensive co-op features ensure a seamless gaming experience. You can essentially join a running game at any time, level all characters together, and the combat system has been altered to meet the needs of co-op elements.
Executive Producer Fleur Marty stated (via gameinformer.com):
We have completely overhauled the combat system so that it works well in co-op. Because this part of the experience is really exciting for us.
At the same time, you miss nothing if you only hunt solo. Currently, the co-op feature only works online – there have been no hints about split-screen.

With Gotham Knights, the Arkham series takes the step into multiplayer. It will be exciting to see how the solo adventure holds up when 2 people beat a foe.
