Season 14 has started in Destiny 2 and brings you 3 new aspects and 4 additional fragments, which allow you to further customize your Stasis classes. To find out how powerful the new options are and how to master the quest “Aspect of Intervention”, read on MeinMMO.
Here’s what it’s about: The Season of the Splicer offers all owners of Beyond Light new customization options for the dark Stasis classes. However, you must unlock the additional aspects and fragments to benefit from the new options.
In total, you can expect in Season 14:
- 3 new Stasis aspects – Warlocks, Titans, and Hunters each receive one
- 4 new Stasis fragments – each fragment can be used by all classes
- The majority of the progress is account-wide, so you only need to earn the new aspects and fragments once with one character
The 3 new Stasis aspects of Season 14
Stasis aspects have direct effects on the playstyle of your Guardian. They either change existing Stasis abilities or introduce a completely new skill.
You can equip up to 2 aspects at the same time at any time. Each aspect has between 1 and 3 slots for fragments to further customize the playstyle. Below we show you all 3 new aspects in detail.
Glacier Harvest (Warlock):
- If you freeze an enemy (in any way), Stasis shards appear around the frozen target. Stronger enemies release more shards. Other Guardians will yield 2 shards.
- You can pick up the bluish Stasis shards (which look like small crystals), triggering fragment effects or recharging your Stasis abilities.
- Grants 2 fragment slots.
Touch of Winter (Hunter):
- This aspect improves your 3 Stasis grenades.
- Glacier grenades receive an additional Stasis crystal and a new, rounder arrangement instead of the usual wall.
- Early Light grenades have a significantly larger slow field and create a small Stasis crystal upon impact.
- Cold Snap grenades seek their target faster and over a longer range, plus you can freeze an additional target (up to 3).
- Grants 2 fragment slots.
Diamant Lance (Titan):
- If you defeat enemies with Stasis abilities like your Shatter Strike or by Shard damage, you create a Stasis lance (has a short cooldown).
- You can pick up the lance like a relic weapon and carry it for a few seconds until it dissolves.
- You can throw the lance to deal damage to a target and freeze it, or slam the lance into the ground to unleash an area attack.
- The Diamond Lance can also be picked up by your team, and multiple lances can exist on the field at the same time.
- Grants only one fragment slot.
Complete Aspect of Intervention on Europa
This is how you get the new aspects: You receive the 3 new Stasis aspects through the quest “Aspect of Intervention.” You get the 3-part task from the Exo Stranger on Europa in the area “Beyond” (far to the south).
- The Stranger then sends you on the mission to find and destroy 6 entropy shards in the “Cellar Ascent” area (far to the north).
- Be sure to pack the exotic grenade launcher Grip of Salvation – otherwise, you cannot destroy the shards (the flying pyramids). Additionally, the quest should only be available from the Stranger once you have completed the previous aspect quests.
- Mark the quest in the menu, and a marker will guide you through the Fallen Fortress, and you will be clearly shown near the shards.
- Once you have hit all entropy shards with the Stasis launcher, you need to defeat a few waves of enemies.

Now it gets a bit tricky: you are tasked with mastering a heroic simulation of the Exo Challenges:
- Select the Exo Challenge from the map on Europa – check the left side of the map in the area “Bray Exo Science”
- Be sure to pay attention to which modifiers are active and which mods you need to pack against the strong champions. Help with the champions can be found here on MeinMMO.
- Once you have mastered the simulation, visit the Exo Stranger in the “Beyond” area.
- She will then send you as the last step to the nearby Ziggurat (which is also marked on the map).
As a thank you for your efforts, you will receive your new Stasis aspect. All quest steps should easily be achievable in about an hour. If you have already found all available aspects, you will need to switch to the right in the Stasis menu to equip the aspect from Season 14.
This is how quickly it works with multiple chars: The entire quest line “Aspect of Intervention” is account-wide. This means you only need to complete the quest with one character. Your 2nd and 3rd characters only need to speak to the Exo Stranger and can go directly to the Ziggurat to collect the aspect without having to complete all the tedious tasks beforehand.
The 4 new Stasis fragments in the Season of the Splicer
Stasis fragments modify your aspects. They give them bonuses on damage or affect your Stasis abilities with other buffs. Some even have negative effects alongside powerful, positive ones. Each aspect has space for a different number of fragments.
This is what the new fragments can do:
- Whispers of Dread: Automatically attracts Stasis shards nearby. Also grants +10 to Recovery and +10 to Intellect.
- Whispers of Hunger: Increases the amount of melee energy you receive when picking up Stasis shards. However, it deducts -10 Discipline and -10 Recovery.
- Whispers of Ruin: Kinetic weapons deal more damage to Stasis crystals and frozen enemies. The more shards you collect, the higher the overshield, and the duration resets.
- Whispers of Frost: When you collect a Stasis shard, you gain a small overshield that lasts for 10 seconds. Collecting additional shards increases the overshield and resets the duration.
This is how you get the new fragments: If you visit the Exo Stranger on Europa, she has 2 small fragment quests for you each week. You can choose whether you want to complete random tasks in strikes, Gambit, or the Crucible – you can also choose the same activity twice.
After completing it, you will receive a remembrance fragment, which you can then exchange for one of the new fragments – or for one from previous seasons if you have not yet obtained all of them. The fragments are account-wide, so each of your Guardians can use each fragment directly.
