At the end of January, IKEA presented a lineup of gaming furniture together with manufacturer ASUS. Now, a gaming hand has been introduced, which is supposed to take care of your accessories.
What’s it about? IKEA, in collaboration with manufacturer ASUS, introduced several gaming furniture. This included a desk, a tool wall for your gaming accessories, and a gaming chair.
A special highlight from the IKEA shop is the accessory stand “Lånespelare.” It is actually a wooden hand that is always at hand and wants to take care of your headphones or cables. Alternatively, we have tips on how to protect your cables for you.

A helping hand for an organized desk
IKEA describes the hand on its own product page as follows:
Do you need a helping hand to keep your desk organized? This accessory stand will gladly assist you and take care of cables, headsets, and other gadgets that you want to keep organized yet within reach.
The hand has a firm stand on your desk and won’t be able to carry off your headset.
What will the hand cost? On the website of the Chinese IKEA, you can currently buy the hand for 129 Chinese Yuan (¥). This is equivalent to 20 US dollars or about 16.60 €.
When will the hand come to Germany? Currently, you can only order the hand from the Chinese IKEA. Whether you can have the hand delivered to Germany, we cannot confirm yet.
The gaming furniture is still a pilot project, which officially started at the end of January 2021 in China. According to IKEA, the furniture should also be available in Germany from autumn 2021 and then become a permanent part of IKEA’s inventory.
Other manufacturers also offer gaming furniture
Other manufacturers also already offer gaming furniture in various forms. For example, the manufacturer Noblechairs has introduced a gaming chair in ESO design. This is supposed to cost between 400 and 500 euros depending on the retailer. This is significantly cheaper than the 1,500 US dollar gaming chair from Hermann Miller, which is said to have been developed together with 30 doctors.
MeinMMO was able to test the Aeron Chair “Gaming Edition” from Hermann Miller and will tell you in this article how comfortable it is to sit in this chair.
Are there any innovative gaming furniture? If you’re looking for inspiration for your future gaming area, you can also check out Razer’s innovative gaming chair. This offers you a 60-inch rollout display with panoramic view and is supposed to shake you when a bomb explodes next to you in the game.
And if you generally find chairs boring, there is also a solution for that. The Japanese company Bauhutte has introduced a gaming bed, from which you don’t even have to get up to play. Thanks to plenty of cabinets, side tables, and shelves, you can also keep snacks and energy drinks within your vicinity.
