The beta of Minecraft: Earth starts in a few weeks. Those who want to be involved right from the start should register quickly.
What is the beta all about? Almost two months ago, we reported for the first time about Minecraft: Earth. The developers had released a first trailer that left some fans wondering. Could the finished game really look this good and take AR games to the “next level”? Since then, gameplay demos have been released and we can say with confidence: Yes, it really does look that good.
The beta is now within reach. In just under two weeks, the beta is set to start and selected players can then fill their cities with blocks.
How to sign up for the beta of Minecraft: Earth: If you haven’t registered for the beta yet, you should do so quickly on the official website of Minecraft: Earth. Many players are likely to be invited at the start of the beta, so there is a good chance to actually participate. Then you can gather first-hand experiences.
There are many limitations: If you’re already hyped about the beta, you should temper your excitement a bit. Because the beta will start off a bit smaller. Only players within large cities might have the chance to be in from the beginning, as these limitations apply:
- Only a limited and selected number of cities are participating in the beta.
- Progress in the beta will be regularly deleted.
- Those in the beta who do not check in at least once every 7 days will lose their beta access and will be replaced.
- You must be 18 years or older to be invited.
By the way, the beta is initially only available on iOS devices. Shortly thereafter, Android systems are expected to gain access.
What is there to do in the beta? From the trailer, it is clear that the user interface is very similar to that of Pokemon GO. You will need to move around to collect various materials, such as stones, trees, and animals, as well as crates with random content. Once you’ve collected enough materials, you level up, unlock new content, and can build your own projects that you can then place in the world.
Have you already signed up for the beta? Are you looking forward to Minecraft: Earth?
