This is a rifle wrapped in a snake and has been a top topic in the community over the past weeks. Not only because of its appearance but also due to powerful builds possible with the “Diamondback”, the exotic rifle is a hot topic among agents.
That’s why you need to hurry: What many agents don’t know – the Diamondback is a time-limited Exotic. You can obtain it by completing 3 Expeditions. These Expeditions were unlocked sequentially on Tuesdays over the past 3 weeks.
And next Tuesday, August 13th, the Expeditions will close their doors. After that, you won’t be able to access the exotic rifle for the time being.
You have until 13.08 to get it
Why is this Exotic only available for such a short time? This time limitation was recently confirmed by the Division developers. They explain: The Kenly College, where the Expeditions take place, has a cycle. And the first cycle ends on 13.8.
When does the next cycle start? According to the developers, you will have to wait for a while after Tuesday until the next cycle starts. Therefore, you should make sure to grab the Exotic now. The only rough time indication for the next cycle is “later in the year”.
What if I already have the Exotic? Once you obtain the Diamondback, it will be added to the loot pool for heroic missions and loot rooms in Expeditions. Thus, you can randomly receive the Exotic again.
What else should I keep in mind? If you haven’t logged into The Division 2 during Episode 1 yet, you should do so by 13.8. Only then will you receive a gift that is waiting for you in the stash, which includes a flashlight backpack trophy.
This is how the community reacts: Many agents on Reddit write that they can’t understand this time limitation. They want to play the new content whenever they want. It’s also strange that the new content will be deactivated less than a month after the DLC starts.
