What game is this about? With Monster Hunter Wilds, the latest installment of the popular action RPG series is set to be released in 2025 for PC on Steam, as well as for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, the developers at Capcom have already started introducing the different weapon types.

What can the long sword do? With the long sword, you can execute both slashing and stabbing attacks in quick succession. Thanks to the long blade, you also have a significant range for a close-combat weapon. With each successful hit, your Spirit Gauge fills up, which – when full – increases the damage of certain attacks and can be spent on special combos.
However, if you are hunting in a group, you should be careful not to annoy your teammates. Since the slashes of the long sword cover a large area, it was easy in the predecessor title Monster Hunter: World to hit nearby hunters and interrupt their current action.
