Capcom gave a first look at the new biome Iceshard Cliffs and the monsters residing there during the Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase on February 4, 2025.
For the Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase on February 4, 2025, Capcom released a new trailer. It features a lot to marvel at, from the return of an old acquaintance to flying monsters and new gameplay. Here’s an overview:
- The expedition team is taken to the frosty new biome Iceshard Cliffs
- There they immediately encounter a whole horde of the new monster Hirabami, a leviathan with the ability to float
- Players can also look forward to the return of the fan-favorite Nerscylla and its formidable prey Gypceros
Additionally, players can catch a glimpse of the flagship monster Arkveld, which we introduced to you in September. You can watch the entire trailer here:
Battle of the Titans
Starting at 1:10 in the trailer, there is a battle between two new Hirabami and a gigantic creature that seems to bury its opponents under its icy breath. Just based on its size, players speculate that this might be the apex of the region.
You have to look closely, however, as the battle only lasts about 3 seconds. Those who want a slightly clearer picture should consider pausing the trailer at the right moment.
As shown in the comments on YouTube, 3 seconds is apparently just the right length to spark speculation among players about what they actually saw. Another leviathan or more of a snake wyvern?
