Chapter 2 of Fortnite has started and it brings a variety of bots with it. They divide the community because they are incredibly weak. But is that good?
What has changed about the opponents: If you have played a few rounds in Chapter 2 of Fortnite, you have probably gotten a few more kills here and there.
The reason for this is the bots that Epic has introduced this season. They often wander around aimlessly and offer little resistance when you attack them.

How the bots are received by players
What does the community think about it? The bots evoke mixed feelings among players. They are well received by some fans; after all, you can easily make kills and celebrate success, as players report on reddit:
- CapAllan: “Thanks Epic for adding the bots! I’m bad at the game and most would just ask me if I want to quit right away. I tried, but I just can’t. But finally! I played a few solo games and oh man! I’m having fun!”
- designforfood replies: “If there were a mode just with bots, that would be such a relaxed season. I completely agree with you! I don’t play as much as I used to because I’m also bad, so the game turned into a bush hiding simulator for me. This is so much more fun. Thank you for thinking of us little guys, Epic!”

However, there are also dissenting voices. For some players, the bots are simply too easy and too numerous in a round. You want to fight against other players and not just against bots. Here, too, we show you some opinions from reddit:

Are the bots really that easy to defeat? There are already numerous videos on reddit showing bots just standing around and doing basically nothing. Only someone who is really foolish would lose to such a bot.

So, if you don’t have to face a pro right at the beginning of a round, you can easily achieve some kills.
What is interesting about the bots: Especially beginners and rather weak players have often been annoyed by Fortnite. You rarely won a round and only with great luck if you did.
Now it seems that Epic is tailoring their game to exactly such players. Now even small players have some successes and fun.
It remains to be seen how the situation with the bots will develop and whether Epic will actually make them a bit harder.
