The Illustrator card is the most valuable Pokémon card in the world. No other known card has changed hands for more money. It was awarded by CoroCoro magazine as a prize to several winners of an illustration contest that took place in 1997. 

The lucky owner of this card is now Logan Paul, a YouTuber. He acquired the card by paying 4 million US dollars and another Pokémon Illustrator card that only had a PSA of 9. Other copies with lower PSA grades are worth much less: According to Price Charting, a PSA 8 copy sold for about 750 euros last year.
