10 Promising Animes Releasing in 2025
One-Punch Man (Season 3)
- Release: 2025
- Streaming provider: unknown, Seasons 1-2 available on Crunchyroll
What is it about? One-Punch Man tells the story of the hero Saitama. He has trained so hard that he defeats every opponent with just one punch. He joins the Hero Association, an organization that employs heroes to protect the population from monsters and criminals.
In Season 3, the Monster Association Arc continues from the end of Season 2. The Monster Association aims to incite a war between humans and monsters, with Orochi and Gyoro as the leaders of the monsters. A showdown occurs between Saitama’s pupil Genos and the hero hunter Garou, with the latter being rescued by the Phoenix Man of the Monster Association.
Who is it suitable for? The anime is known for its crude humor and silly scenes. If you’re looking for a funny series that often doesn’t take itself too seriously, One-Punch Man might be for you. Alternatively, you can try Mashle: Magic and Muscles.
The Summer Hikaru Died
- Release: Summer 2025
- Streaming provider: Netflix
What is it about? Hikaru and Yoshiki have been best friends since childhood. They live in a small village and are the only people of the same age, which brings them even closer. But one summer, Yoshiki suddenly notices that something is off with Hikaru.
Hikaru’s appearance hasn’t changed, but his behavior has suddenly shifted. When Yoshiki brings it up with his best friend, Hikaru turns into a creepy creature and threatens to kill Yoshiki if he cannot accept this new being. Strange occurrences in the village also hint at something worse.
Who is it suitable for? The Summer Hikaru Died is likely for fans of the horror genre. The trailer already promises a visually demanding anime and may soothe the fans who were disappointed by the poor animations in Uzumaki.
