In Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS, Android, Switch & Xbox One) the end of Season 5 is approaching. The theories are slowly solidifying. A particularly spectacular leak predicts some drastic changes.
What does the new leak say? A leak about Fortnite recently appeared on the notorious site 4Chan. In an image, you can see the purple cube being torn apart. Allegedly, the fox-masked guy Drift is to blame for this.
The image could possibly be fake, but the elaborate theory underneath might actually make sense.
Theory for Season 6 – Dark Dimensions, Chicken Restaurants, and Evil Skins
According to 4Chan, there are concrete indications that the following things will happen when Season 5 ends and Season 6 begins.
- The Enforcer and their Terraforming: The new Enforcer skin is said to hint at an alien race that cannot live on the regular world. Therefore, they sent the cube, which absorbs the energy from Loot Lake and thus expands the anti-gravity fields.
- The Chicken Restaurant in the Woods: The bunker in Wailing Woods, which has been non-functional for months, is supposed to finally open. The bunker dwellers will then build a chicken restaurant. There will be exclusive skins for this, similar to the burger and tomato head.
- Amusement Parks as a New Theme: The restaurant will transform into an amusement park over the course of Season 6. Likewise, Lonely Lodge, which will be damaged by the explosion of the cube. Here too, an amusement park with water slides is supposed to be created.
- The Dark Dimension: Through the explosion of the cube, crystal shards will be scattered all over the map. If you collect them, you will temporarily enter the “Dark Dimension”. There, you will be invisible to all other players but cannot do anything.
- The City in the Lake: At the location of Loot Lake, a city of the Enforcer will arise. Where the cube was, there is also a portal to the dark dimension.
- Evil Skins: Throughout the season, there are supposed to be additional challenges for certain skins like the tomato head. This will unlock “evil” versions of the outfits.
Admittedly, the theory from 4Chan sounds quite adventurous but fits well with the crazy theme of Fortnite.
Alternative Theory for Season 6: Loot Lake turns into Lava Lake
On the other hand, there is another theory that has been discussed for some time on reddit and elsewhere and does not appear in the 4Chan revelation: The volcano in the lake!
What is the volcano theory about? According to data leaks from the code, there is supposed to be a location called “Volcanic Pit”, which means a pit full of lava, coming to the game soon. When you view the lake from above with certain color masks, it also looks like there is a volcano there.
And then there’s a volcano behind the dragon llama on the shirt of the evil color bomber seen in the image from week 10.
What could the volcano be about? Many players suspect that the cube will turn everything upside down in the end. Therefore, the kind-hearted color bomber will have a dark version of herself. And the lake will turn from water to lava.
Does a lava lake make sense? Then there would be a huge lava lake in the middle of the Fortnite map, where players might take damage if they fall in. But why would anyone go there? This new map element only makes sense if the loot in Loot Lake is worth it.
