Why might NoWay stop playing LoL? In one of his recent streams, NoWay, the largest German LoL streamer, talks about his current thoughts on League of Legends (via Sullygnome). This happened after a viewer brought it up to him, as especially lately, there have been clips of him raging.
He then speaks very openly with his community about how streaming LoL sometimes doesn’t bring him as much joy and that he also had a difficult year, as his viewer numbers have decreased over time. A consequence of this could be that he stops streaming League of Legends in the future.
“I knew this would eventually come”
What is the problem with LoL? NoWay further reports how his video on YouTube on the topic shows that he finds it difficult to remain positive. In the past, he complained among other things about the matchmaking in the game.
Another reason is that negativity has increased, even in his chat, which is overwhelming for him. He doesn’t feel this way with other games like PUBG and could even enjoy it greatly at the moment.
He finds this problematic for his stream, as he wants viewers to come to his stream and have fun. This is difficult if he himself is not enjoying it. However, he is not surprised and was aware that “this would eventually come”.
Now, the streamer wants to see how things will progress in the future, but he also clearly emphasizes: “If the game is no longer fun, then I will stop.”
How will things progress in the future? However, fans should not worry that the streamer might immediately turn his back on League of Legends. An employee from Riot supposedly announced significant changes for LoL in 2025, which NoWay definitely wants to wait for. If he continues to lose enjoyment in the game and nothing changes, he has stated he will quit.
This does not mean we cannot continue to follow NoWay: His plan for the future might be to showcase various games he enjoys in his streams. He is aware that this could affect his viewer numbers, but he doesn’t care, as he places more value on presenting a stream where he enjoys what he is doing.
