The Twitch streamer Broeki had to propose to his girlfriend because of a post on X/Twitter, where he made a bet that he would propose to her if Germany won the football match against Hungary.
Who is the streamer? Broeki is a German Twitch streamer who has been entertaining his audience since at least 2016. With an average of about 1300 viewers in the last three months, he has become especially known for his League of Legends content (via Twitchtracker). He has already streamed this game for over 10,000 hours. The streamer has also made a name for himself in the general League of Legends scene.
Additionally, he is known for his appearances with the streamer Maximilian “HandOfBlood” Knabe. HandOfBlood, the president of the eSports club Eintracht Spandau, has established himself as a popular character. Broeki plays the role of the janitor in the club’s lore.

From a Bet to a Marriage Proposal
How did the bet come about? On June 19, HandOfBlood is streaming with Broeki as a guest. On this day, the football match Germany vs. Hungary takes place, which HandOfBlood and his guests are eagerly discussing.
Broeki mentions that he is participating in the new trend on Twitter/X: “If Germany wins, I will do what the top comment suggests.” The suggestions under his post vary from daily selfies until the end of the year, over a year of active training in the gym, to a career on OnlyFans.
However, none of these suggestions shock Broeki as much as the comment from his own girlfriend: “Marriage proposal.”
How do others react to the bet? HandOfBlood is stunned when Broeki shares that his girlfriend posted the comment. “I would first like to move in together,” the streamer comments. While HandOfBlood and his guests are shocked, he adds, “I would rather sit down with a glass than make a marriage proposal right now.”
This statement leads to laughter and further discussions. Another guest suggests: “Why not directly propose when she moves in – and then it’s done.”
HandOfBlood then seriously asks if the topic of marriage is completely new for Broeki and his girlfriend or if they have talked about it before, to which Broeki replies: “This is out of fucking nowhere. I’m hearing this for the first time!”.
“Do you, Thunny, take me to be your husband?”
How does the situation end? While Broeki likely hoped that Germany would lose, the German team wins 2-0. He posts on Twitter/X: “Well, I can’t back out now,” since his girlfriend’s comment still had the most likes.
Shortly after, he publishes a video fulfilling his bet: “Eh, hello, darling. Here is the fulfillment of my bet, but maybe also a bit serious. Do you, Thunny, take me to be your husband? That – that would be nice. I would be happy. And say greetings, also to the parents.”
Does she accept the proposal? Thunny, Broeki’s girlfriend, comments afterward: “Thanks to all the sweethearts who cheered for us – however, Broeki and I are not ready for such a big decision, which is why my answer is no, BUT who knows what the future brings.”
