The fourth season of 7 vs. Wild has recently sparked various discussions. The highly requested uncut material will not be released. Much to the disappointment of the community and Fritz Meinecke himself.
What kind of decision is that? As the fourth season of 7 vs. Wild is slowly coming to an end, the community is wondering whether there will be uncut material for this season as well. Fritz Meinecke has now denied that, but hinted that he himself is not completely satisfied with this decision.
The reason for this is a conflict that has built up over the course of the show’s episodes.

Uncut material could provide clarity
Why is the uncut material important? In the fourth season of 7 vs. Wild, tensions steadily developed over the course of six episodes between Stefan Hinkelmann and the other contestants. Especially the survival expert Joe Vogel repeatedly found himself in conflict with his colleague.
These tensions were not only felt within the show but also continued on to the live reactions on Twitch of the two participants. Here, Stefan claimed that the editing misrepresented him and that many events unfolded quite differently than portrayed. He insisted on the uncut version of 7 vs. Wild (via Twitch).
The other contestants countered in their live reactions. The uncut or additional material would clarify things once and for all and show what the truth looks like.
Fritz Meinecke seems disappointed
In a clip on Twitch, Fritz Meinecke expressed his disappointment that the team of 7 vs. Wild decided against releasing the uncut material. He says:
I have a slightly different opinion. I would have liked to see that again
He further explains that the decision is not only up to him, but is a matter for the majority. Many spoke out against the release to avoid stirring the conflict theme again.
How is the community reacting? The community is also visibly disappointed about the lack of uncut material.
Kallisto616 (on reddit) says: “I understand the reasoning on one side, but on the other hand, there is still a person who has twisted the truth so much that it could almost be damaging to the reputation of other participants and still refuses to back down. (…)”
Especially regarding the conflict surrounding Stefan, many see a need for clarification. SplaTTerChef says on reddit: “Well. And so the good Stefan gets away with it in his own world again. Great.”
There are also reactions against the team of 7 vs. Wild, who suspect there is more behind the withholding of the material:
- Aluniah (on reddit): “It only makes sense if the organization has guided the entire content through their storytelling in editing quite significantly. And one could have gotten a completely different impression with the overall material. (…)”
- ThinkFoundation8488 (on reddit): “Probably because the organization has also edited it a bit spicy.”
This is not the only concern currently troubling the 7 vs. Wild community. Some viewers of the YouTube show are illegally gaining access to the location of the fourth season: Viewers of 7 vs. Wild trigger police operations because they do not want to understand a rule
