In Pokémon GO there are ongoing discussions about when a Master Ball is worth it. However, in a current case on Reddit, all trainers seem to agree.
What is the Master Ball? Master Balls are very rare in Pokémon GO and only available during certain events or time periods. This ball is the ultimate ball, having a 100% chance of capturing a Pokémon.
Therefore, there are repeatedly discussions about which monsters are worth the Master Ball and which are not. This primarily depends on the trainer themselves and is therefore individually assessable.
In a current case on Reddit, a trainer shows for which Pokémon he wasted his first Master Ball. Unfortunately, in this case, the use was indeed wasted.
100% capture chance, yet Master Ball used
What did the trainer use his Master Ball for? As the trainer shows in his post on Reddit, he used his first Master Ball for a Lavados. However, this was not a normal Lavados, but a shiny Lavados, which he encountered at the end of a raid.
In doing so, the trainer forgot an important thing that probably only came to his mind at the moment of the throw: Legendary shiny Pokémon that you encounter in raids have a 100% chance of being caught by you.
As long as you hit the Pokémon with your balls and do not throw them aside, the shiny Pokémon will stay 100% in one of your thrown balls. Therefore, you can easily rely on the Premier Balls you receive after a raid.
Thus, it is worthwhile to use Sananabeeren on such Pokémon to increase the number of candies for this guaranteed catch.
