On Black Friday there are plenty of things on sale. MeinMMO editor Benedikt Schlotman has tested more than 30 mice and reveals which 3 are the best.
From all-rounders to shooter mice to vertical mice: By now, I have several mice on my desk, have tested them, or at least spent many hours playing with them. So far, more than 30 mice have accumulated here, and not every mouse has made it into an article or a buying guide.
Thanks to Black Friday, there are several models on sale. I will explain which offers are the most worthwhile and why I would choose the following mice if you are looking for a new model.
Logitech G502
My recommendation: The G502 Lightspeed has become a classic, and I really like the ergonomics in palm grip. Especially because of the many buttons and the sniper button, the mouse is a welcome guest on my desk.
Price: Around 80 Euros
Advantages:
- good ergonomics
- long battery life
- many customizable buttons
Disadvantages:
- high weight (114 to 130 grams)
- Micro-USB port is outdated
Logitech now also offers the G502X as a successor. The successor does almost everything better but costs 40 Euros more in comparison. Given the price difference, you can easily opt for the predecessor. The predecessor still offers interchangeable weights, which I have hardly used in everyday life.

SteelSeries Aerox 5
My recommendation: The Aerox 5 also offers many buttons but weighs significantly less than the G502. The battery lives are sufficient. However, what bothers me most is that the sniper button is poorly placed.
Price: Around 80 Euros
Advantages:
- light weight (74 grams)
- good battery life (180 hours)
- many buttons
Disadvantages:
- poorly placed sniper button
- Honeycomb design is prone to dirt
With the Rival 5, SteelSeries created a strong competitor to the G502. With the Aerox, SteelSeries primarily offers a very lightweight all-rounder model. Unfortunately, the Rival/Aerox 5 has weaker ergonomics compared to the G502. However, the good tactile feedback and lower weight make up for this disadvantage.

HyperX Pulsefire Haste
My recommendation: The Pulsefire Haste from HyperX is my insider tip if you primarily want to play shooters or fast-paced games. A low weight (61 grams), combined with a great sensor and good ergonomics. Unfortunately, the software is not very good, and the mouse feet are a bit small.
Price: Around 70 Euros
Advantages:
- light weight (61 grams)
- good battery life (180 hours)
- excellent tactile feedback
- grip tape included
Disadvantages:
- mixed software
- Honeycomb design is prone to dirt
- a bit small mouse feet
The HyperX Pulsefire Haste appeals to me in everyday use even more than Logitech’s flagship, the G PRO X Superlight. This is primarily due to the rough surface that offers a better grip than the smooth surface of the Superlight series. In particular, the price-performance ratio of the Pulsefire Haste is truly excellent in my opinion.
