In Fortnite: Battle Royale, it’s all about eliminations and who has the victory at the end. Therefore, one can boast about kill records, as it contributes to the victory. MeinMMO author Eilyn Rapp should actually be ashamed of her kill record in Fortnite.
What is meant by kill record? The kill record is always the highest number of eliminations achieved in a round. This can continuously expand when a new record is broken.
Every player has their own kill record, be it 2 eliminations per round or 20. In Fortnite, you can achieve records in various modes like Solo, Duo, and Teams. Some even break world records with their number of kills.
My kill record seems unbelievable
Which kill record are we talking about? I also have a kill record in Fortnite, and at first, it really sounds unbelievable. My highest record is actually 48 eliminations in one round.
I’m not really good at Fortnite and miles away from being a pro. The game has fascinated me since the end of Season 1 Chapter 1, and yet I still can’t build, which is actually the main element of Fortnite.
How did I achieve this kill record? Now one might wonder how that is even possible. The answer is quite simple: I set the kill record in the Teams mode.
In the Teams mode, 2 teams compete against each other, each consisting of 20 players. Players who are eliminated can respawn on the map until one team reaches the target of 100 eliminations. That was before Epic revised the mode in an update, as now you have to achieve 150 eliminations.
This explains how it was even possible for me to achieve so many eliminations in one round. After all, I face 20 opponents whom I can just shoot down, and if I do get eliminated, I’m back in the fight seconds later with full health. Under these simple conditions, I should actually be ashamed to even mention such a kill record.
So why am I not ashamed?
It all sounds pretty simple, and others could probably do it easily too, but it wasn’t that easy. My team consisted of 20 players, but only 4 actively engaged the opponents.
The opposing team had grouped together on a hill and built a secure fortress where all the healing items could be found that you needed. So imagine there waiting 20 opponents who are constantly healing.
We had no choice but to head straight for the fortress. But since there were only four of us, we were fired upon from all directions as soon as we got anywhere near. But I didn’t want to give up and landed back there after every elimination, killing as many opponents as I could before I got killed again.
Well, and so it happened that I achieved my kill record with 48 eliminations. I’m not ashamed of it because we still won, even though we were only four against 20. I can proudly say that I contributed almost half of the kills for the victory.
It’s different with the skins that I regret ever buying. I am ashamed that I spent so much money just for these cosmetic items to end up gathering dust in the locker and never be used again.
