Infestation: Battle Royale

What kind of game is this? Infestation: Battle Royale is a mix of survival and battle royale. You are either alone or in groups of three on one of two maps and try to be the only survivor.
In doing so, you must fight not only other players but also roaming zombies. Along the way, you find many weapons to defend yourself.
How is Infestation: Battle Royale currently? The game was met with very negative reviews upon release. One reason is that it is supposedly a new rehash of “Infestation: The New Z”. This was a mode from their game “The New Z”, which was based on “The War Z”.
User Strife commented on Steam:
Absolutely nothing has changed from the battle royale mode of Infestation: The New Z. There are no new maps, no new weapons, no new menus, no new UI… nothing. The game will be dead in the next one to two weeks.
Infestation: Battle Royale is still alive even 9 months later. However, it has not attracted many players. In the last 30 days, on average, 5 players visited, with a peak of 14 concurrent players (via Steamcharts). With 57 % negative reviews, it will likely attract few new players.
That’s why I believe Infestation will die in 2021: There are plenty of battle royale games available on Steam and elsewhere. Most of them are better executed than Infestation: Battle Royale.
Although a Double GC event is currently running, real innovations have not been introduced for a long time. Therefore, I believe it will not survive in 2021.
