8. Misdeeds
What can the weapon do? The exotic hand cannon Misdeeds fires projectiles of darkness that launch enemies into the air. Possessed and Gambit invaders should fear this weapon especially, as they take additional damage.
This is what makes the appearance so great: The Exotic boasts delicate lines, mythical symbols, and is simply very elegant. If you look at Misdeeds long enough, you’ll notice that it defies the laws of nature. The weapon is actually an empty shell without any interior.
The Exo is held together and powered by darkness, giving it a very unique dark touch. I particularly appreciate that we fight the possessed with their own weapons and that my Guardian visibly holds a piece of forbidden darkness in their hands.
This ornament refines the gun: Especially fans of the Gambit mode will love the ornament “The Red Thread of Destiny” – and there should be some. Jade green and adorned with the iconic snake, you can show everyone why he chose you as the bearer of Misdeeds.
9. Black Talon
What can the weapon do? The Exotic Black Talon nullifies the weakness of all other swords. Because you can not only slash in close combat, but also hurl energy projectiles at enemies from a distance.
This is what makes the appearance so great: The sword realizes the dreams of all fans of fantasy literature. It instantly reminds me of an elven blade from The Lord of the Rings.
Sometimes you want to reach for ancient weapons even in a shooter, and no other sword in Destiny 2 combines elegance and lethality as perfectly as Black Talon. For me, the weapon perfectly characterizes the probably coolest “Destiny 2” location: the Dreaming City – where fantasy and sci-fi meet.
This ornament refines the sword: If you can’t relate to the fantasy setting, you turn Black Talon into a futuristic blade thanks to the ornament “Confused Paladin”. Instead of playful flourishes, the sword now opts for clear shapes. In my opinion, the design is perfectly capped off by the curved elements within the blade, giving it a very dynamic appearance.
Bonus – The Coolest Ornament in Destiny 2
Which ornament it is: Since we are already talking about particularly cool-looking Exotics, I would like to present as a little bonus the probably best-looking Exo ornament from all of Destiny 2:
The ornament “All In” belongs to the hand cannon Pikass. This one is not really that ugly, but in its basic form, it is not in a league with these eye-catchers listed here. With its gold Osiris icons, mummy wrappings, and otherwise simple black coat, the Exo catapults itself into the optical Olympus.
For all lovers of the Osiris theme, I probably have good news. As data miner JpDeathblade claims to have found out, the “All In” ornament will be available to purchase from Tess for in-game currency Glimmer at the end of Season 10 (via reddit). This information is not official and should be treated with caution.
That was my personal top list, did I convince you of my selection and did I even match your taste? Do you perhaps have entirely different ideas about what an Exotic should look like? Here you can read which Exotic I like to play the most, even though I was laughed at.
