In Berlin, the first world champion in EA FC 24 was crowned last weekend with Anders Vejrgang (18). The German YouTuber GamerBrother was on site and we were able to talk to him about the spectacular World Cup victory.
Who is it about? Most of you will probably know Simon Schildgen better by his name GamerBrother on Twitch and YouTube. The streamer is one of the most well-known content creators in FIFA and FC 24 and has been active since 2012.
GamerBrother himself plays in the Weekend League on his channel and recently shows popular RTG content.
This is what FC YouTuber GamerBrother says about the final: After the final in the EA FC 24 Championships, we at MeinMMO were able to talk with him about the just-played final as well as the tournament.
When asked how he found the performance of the new world champion, he said: “Unfair. I really felt sorry for the opponents.” The streamer especially found Anders Vejrgang’s final match against Yuval impressive: “I have never seen anything like it. 7:0 in a final.”
But also the last tournament day overall, where Anders Vejrgang knocked out the world elite of the FC scene one after the other and achieved astonishingly high victories in the quarter-finals and semi-finals, impressed the streamer: “Especially the path to the final. He scored 20 goals just today on tournament day. Quarter-finals 7:2, semi-finals 6:0.”
GamerBrother in disbelief – “I really felt sorry for the opponents”
As a supposed reason for Anders Vejrgang’s incredible success and dominance, GamerBrother assessed the skill of the other players and compared it to the brand new world champion: “The other players were all about on the same level. And then comes him and he is like four levels above.”
At any rate, the streamer was not disappointed with the tournament. On the way to the final match day, he was already told that Anders was in incredible form: “And with that expectation, I went in and I was not disappointed for a second.”
Why the World Cup victory was so incredible: That Anders Vejrgang, also previously known as the FIFA prodigy, won the World Cup title at the FC Pro Championship was perhaps not super surprising. Especially since he became European champion just the week before. However, how he dominated the tournament was truly remarkable.
Because he simply gave his opponents no chance, played almost with them, and scored goals like on an assembly line. It was crazy that Anders won the World Cup semi-final 6:0, only to then score even more in the final.
