On March 24, 2024, the highly anticipated VCT Masters Madrid took place, an event that moved many in the Valorant community emotionally. One moment stood out particularly: The well-known Twitch streamer TenZ experienced a true dream that he fulfilled before the eyes of his fans.
Who is TenZ? Tyson Ngo (22), better known as TenZ, is a Vietnamese-Canadian professional player in the world of Valorant.
His esports career began in October 2019 as a player of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for Cloud9. In April 2020, he switched to Valorant, where he continued to play for Cloud9. In 2021, he moved to the Sentinels, where he eventually achieved the title of the best player in the world during the world championship.
Who is Kyedae? Kyedae Shymko (22) is a well-known Twitch streamer who frequently plays the tactical shooter Valorant from Riot Games. However, her story extends beyond gaming.
On March 3, 2023, Kyedae shocked her fanbase with a Twitter message disclosing that she was diagnosed with leukemia. Shortly after, she confessed to her viewers that she had concealed this serious diagnosis from her fiancé TenZ for a long time. At that time, TenZ was participating in a significant esports tournament. Kyedae wanted to ensure that he could focus entirely on his game and his career.
At this event, the couple gave goosebumps
What kind of event is the VCT Masters? The VCT Masters, short for “Valorant Champions Tour Masters,” is a highly regarded and globally known event in the field of esports. This year, the event took place in Madrid. It provides the eight best teams from the Valorant scene the opportunity to showcase their skills on an international level and compete for glory as well as attractive prize money.

“I always wanted her to see me win,” said TenZ
What was so special this year? TenZ and Kyedae have moved their community to tears multiple times. However, at this year’s VCT Masters, the couple fulfilled one of TenZ’s biggest wishes.
During the event, he said: “I have always dreamed of having Kyedae with me at an event and that she could see me win. Just the fact that she is here now means so much to me.”
So far, Kyedae had never had the opportunity to accompany TenZ at such events. But this year everything was different.
The streamer was invited to introduce the new agent Clove in a first gameplay match during a livestream at the event. Thus, not only was TenZ himself seen on stage, but also for the first time his fiancée Kyedae, which made the event even more special for both of them.
Kyedae spent the whole time at the event and streamed live on-site the happenings. Even when she wasn’t on stage, she reacted to the other matches and cheered TenZ on from the background.
“Let’s go, Tyson! Good shit,” said Kyedae with tears
How did the final go? As if TenZ’s wish for Kyedae to accompany him live at such an event wasn’t already fulfilled – he and the Sentinels even won the final against Gen.G.
The Twitch streamer Kyedae cried tears of joy when TenZ achieved his second VCT victory since the transition from Counter-Strike to Valorant and it was announced.
“Let’s go, Tyson! Good shit,” she cried with tears as her fiancé held up the trophy. After the trophy presentation, the Sentinels were interviewed, and during that time, a few of their closest friends came to congratulate them.
Kyedae also ran down and lovingly hugged and kissed TenZ multiple times while still wiping away her tears. Thus, TenZ’s dream was fully realized, and both created a goosebump moment for the audience.
During a Twitch stream, TenZ and Kyedae were surprised by their chat with the question “Lights on or off?” TenZ’s humorous response created an amusing moment. You can read more about it here: Valorant: Twitch streamer answers intimate bedroom question in the style of a true gamer
