In Pokémon GO, the Raid Week is in full swing, but it becomes increasingly apparent that a feature is simply missing that would improve the game.
What do the fans wish for? There is nothing more annoying than waiting 2 minutes in the raid lobby of the game. Therefore, many trainers are demanding a start button for raids. When you have enough players together and everyone is ready, you should simply be able to start the raid.
This is currently not possible. In the current event, where special bonuses for raids are at stake, the absence of this feature is even more noticeable. You feel like you wait an eternity in the raid lobby, and that time cannot be used effectively.
That’s why a start button for raids is so important
This is how the button could be used: Such a feature is especially important when you can only engage in raids within a certain time frame.
A good example here are the raid hours or the upcoming Lapras Day. There are only a few hours during which a variety of raids take place. If you manage to complete 5 raids in an hour, you spend one-sixth of that time stuck in the lobby. However, it could also go much faster.
That’s why it’s totally pointless currently: Normally, the logic behind the 2-minute lobby should be that players could still be waiting for other trainers.
But what does it bring me if I wait for other players in a 1-man or 2-man raid? Every player at level 20 can complete such raids alone. So why wait? If the lobby is full with 20 players, it is just as pointless to wait. Another player wouldn’t fit in the lobby anyway.
Why is this feature missing? One can only speculate about that. After all, there wouldn’t be a huge advantage in not having to wait for two minutes in the lobby.
In addition, you would complete more raids. This would indeed also be in Niantic’s interest. One can only assume that there are still technical issues at play.
What do players say about it? Numerous players share the same opinion: A start button simply has to come. There are numerous comments on Reddit :
- Skysugilite: Let’s be honest: I see a raid that I can defeat alone, but I just don’t do it because I don’t want to stand in the same place doing nothing for more than a minute.
- tsengj1: Yes, it would also be in Niantic’s interest. Less time sitting around = more money for passes during raid hour.
- DarthTNT: The absolute minimum they should do is add the start button when the lobby is filled to full capacity. And if they (Niantic) don’t want players to wait 3 minutes doing nothing, they should let us press a start button to shorten the wait time.
How do you see it? Does Pokémon GO need such a start button?
