In Pokémon GO the big global GO Fest took place over the weekend, where you could catch a lot of monsters. Of course, the shinies were not to be missed. Our MeinMMO author Franzi shows you which shinies she caught, and we want to know from you how great your haul was.
What event is it about? Over the weekend, one of the biggest events of the year took place in Pokémon GO: The global GO Fest. People from all over the world could participate, with and without a ticket, and encounter a lot of monsters.
But especially the shiny specimens play an important role for many trainers on such days, which is why some specifically embark on a shiny hunt. I also set myself the goal to catch up after my initial shiny failure on Saturday, on Sunday.
Which shinies I caught in the end and how satisfied I am with them, I will tell you at the end of the article. Before that, we want to know how many shinies you caught over the two days.
How many shinies did you catch?
What is so special about shinies? The most sought-after Pokémon in the game are the so-called shinies. These usually differ visually from their normal form and are generally not so easy to find in the game. This makes them special, and many players collect them.
Some of them look particularly beautiful. Here I show you which shinies I like the most in Pokémon GO.
How many shinies were you able to snag? During the GO Fest, you could encounter many Pokémon in the wild and in raids, even without a ticket, most of which have a shiny form. Moreover, monsters like Kommandutan, Viscora, and also the two Schalellos celebrated their shiny debut in the game.
In addition, there was an increased shiny chance for ticket holders, which pleasantly surprised shiny hunters. Many players proudly shared their catches on social media already. Increasing shiny rate towards the end of the event
How many shinies did I catch? I also wanted to catch shinies on both event days. I particularly had my eye on a shiny Rayquaza and the new shinies. However, since I worked over the weekend and kept you updated in our live ticker during the GO Fest on both days, the shiny hunt became a bit more difficult.
I spent most of the time at my desk. Anyone who has followed the live ticker knows that Saturday was quite disappointing for me with only 5 shinies. However, Sunday was able to shine in terms of shinies for me again. On this day, the shiny rate seemed to have gotten better towards the end of the event, and I was able to catch another 10 shinies. Thus, I come to a total of 15 shinies.

How satisfied am I with that? I am very satisfied with my haul, especially since I played most of the time from my desk. I am especially pleased about my shiny Rayquaza, which was probably the highlight of the event for me. But my cute mini-Schlurp and the shiny Schalellos are also among my favorites of the event.
