A player has built his first gaming PC. In his post, he explains that he is really proud of his achievement. Until now, he thought that building it would be too difficult. Many people feel the same way and prefer to buy their gaming PC ready-made.

In his post, he talks about having spent several weeks learning the basics about components and building a PC.
In the meantime, he has invested around 600 euros and built his first gaming PC. And he admits that he is quite proud of his achievement.

PC building is often considered complicated
Some players in the community like to refer to building computers as “Lego for adults.” Because, basically, you’re just putting “components” together and hoping that the machine starts without any issues.
However, there are plenty of hurdles that the player also mentions in the post. The components must fit together, and having a bit of knowledge about pricing also helps.
The biggest hurdle is, however, one that he does not mention: When something goes wrong during the build. The PC does not start on the first attempt, and then troubleshooting begins. A beginner can quickly feel overwhelmed, while an expert quickly realizes that the RAM is not properly seated in the slot or that the CPU is not connected to the power supply.
Some mistakes can cost you hundreds of euros if you’re not careful. If problems do arise, it is always helpful to have a friend or acquaintance who is knowledgeable about the subject and can assist with troubleshooting.
With a pre-built PC, you can usually be sure that the gaming PC you ordered will work. However, you typically pay more for a pre-built PC than if you were to build it yourself:
