The popular streamers Gronkh and PhunkRoyal have released an unexpected short film in the Baldur’s Gate 3 universe on YouTube. In this video, the two internet personalities play the lead roles and present themselves in unusual costumes that bring their fans more than just laughter.
Which short film is it about? For some time, Gronkh had stirred the rumor mill by repeatedly hinting at a mysterious film shoot on social media, but without revealing details.
An Instagram photo from August 1, 2023, showing Gronkh in a striking costume, further fueled speculation. Under the image, he simply commented with the words: ‘Good day, can I interest you in an insurance?’. His community speculated about what was really happening behind the scenes – but no one could have guessed what was actually to come: Gronkh as ‘sexy bear’ and PhunkRoyal as a blonde beauty in a Baldur’s Gate 3 short film.

What happens in the short film? In the short film, we see Gronkh and PhunkRoyal sitting at a table, where they are playing pen and paper – Gronkh as a barbarian and PhunkRoyal as a paladin.
The game master Rieke Werner guides the two heroes through exciting adventures as they attempt to infiltrate a mysterious castle to obtain a magical item. Along the way, they avoid as much bloodshed as possible and develop creative solutions.
Insider jokes are also incorporated, such as Gronkh’s legendary streak of bad luck while rolling dice.
In a funny twist, Gronkh plans to distract the guards as the ‘sexy bear’ while PhunkRoyal attacks from behind and takes out the guards. The ‘seductive bear’ is most likely a reference to the famous bear scene from Baldur’s Gate 3, which flooded the media some time ago.

On TikTok, she recently admitted that she is addicted to Baldur’s Gate 3 and proudly showcased her 81.3 gaming hours on Steam, which she achieved within a week.
Streamer colleague Creepypastapunch also appeared as one of the guards whom Gronkh charmingly wooed. The author Mikkel, known from PietSmiets, could also be admired in a role as a guard. Make-up artist and streamer Nancy Wenz again took on the makeup work, as she did for the last Friendly Fire streams.
