Place 9: Gloss
Gloss was a typical career. He comes from the Capitol-leaning District 1 and was prepared for the Hunger Games from a young age. Accordingly, he was strong and well-trained when he entered the arena at 15 and, not surprisingly, won.
His younger sister Cashmere was also similarly ambitious. She won the Hunger Games a year after her brother.
More than 10 years later, the two return together for the 75th Hunger Games and are among the top candidates for victory. They remain true to their strategy and team up with the tributes from District 2. On the first day, the careers kill about eight of their competitors.
On the second day, however, they encounter Katniss and her allies. Cashmere dies by the axe of Johanna Mason. Gloss manages to slit the throat of the physically inferior Wiress but is shot by Katniss for it.
- Winner of: 63rd Hunger Games
- Age at victory: 15
