After all, the High Heavens and the Burning Hells have been fighting each other for over 25 years (plus or minus a few millennia) in the Eternal Conflict. A lot has happened during this time:
- Lilith and Inarius rebelled and created the world of Sanctuary.
- The 3 Prime Evils were first captured, then released, then captured again, then released again.
- After endless speculations and conspiracy theories, the secret Kulevel was added.
- In Diablo 3, Season 27 is currently ongoing.
A lot of lore and background has accumulated, and it doesn’t hurt to inform oneself about one’s opponents before diving into the fight in summer 2023.
