By using jewels, you can enhance your abilities in Lost Ark. We at MeinMMO will show you how it works.
What are jewels? Jewels are used to enhance your attacks. There are two different types:
- The Jewel of Distant Waves reduces the cooldown of a random ability by up to 20%
- The Jewel of the Blue Sky increases the damage of the ability by up to 40%
With each jewel level, the effect increases. In total, you can upgrade the jewels to a maximum of level 9.
How do I unlock them? You must have reached level 50 and have arrived in Tier 2 of Lost Ark, meaning you need to achieve an item level of 802.
Once you have completed the quest “The Final Report” in Yorn, jewels come into play. You can drop them, for example, in the Chaos Dungeon and later in the Boss Surge.
How does merging work? Next to the button for dismantling equipment in the inventory, you will now find another button featuring a jewel. Clicking on it opens a window to merge jewels.
You always need three pieces to generate one of the next level. So, three level 1 jewels will result in one level 2 jewel. It doesn’t matter whether you use Jewels of Distant Waves or Jewels of the Blue Sky. You can even set it so that jewels merge automatically at certain levels.
By the way, merging cannot fail.
How can I equip them? You can equip the jewel with a right-click. You can equip a total of 11 pieces. However, it’s important to know that they do not stack. Therefore, you can only select one jewel per attack. To achieve 40% more damage, you need one at the maximum level, not several with a damage increase.
If you don’t like the bonus on your jewel, you can go to a jeweler in town and re-roll the effect. This will cost you more silver with each jewel level.
