How to unlock the raid content in Final Fantasy XIV

Unlocking Raids in Heavensward

This page explains how to unlock the “normal raids” and the “alliance raids” in Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. Simply go to the location of the unlock quest mentioned below.

8-player raid – Unlocking “Alexander”

What is it about? In the Alexander raids, you investigate the massive robot Alexander, which has appeared in the Dravanian Hinterlands and is slowly activating. Discover alongside Biggs and Wedge who is behind it and what extraordinary magical abilities Alexander possesses.

Normal raid difficulty – Alexander – Level 60, 8 players

Alliance raid – Unlocking “Shadows of Mhach”

What is it about? In the “Shadows of Mhach” alliance raid, the player follows the rumor of a flying ghost ship. You encounter the sky pirates and work with them to gain access to the enormous “Nichts-Arche” and extract its secrets. You will quickly discover that the ghost ship is not uninhabited.
