Still in May, the first raid for 8 players will come to The Division 2. With these tips, you can prepare for it.
What to expect in the raid: So far, there is little official information on how the raid will unfold. According to the developers, it will be the greatest challenge for players.
If you believe the leaks, it is expected to take several hours and offer various mechanics such as puzzles.
But what can you do to prepare for this potentially challenging raid? Here are a few options.

Create builds for every situation
Here’s why you should prepare multiple builds: As mentioned above, the raid will likely be extensive and offer many different mission sections with varying requirements.
No one currently knows what to expect. Therefore, for ambitious players who want to start immediately, it can only be useful to have multiple builds ready.
With the brand sets, there is a great variety of possible combinations. So go wild! Perhaps an interesting build for the raid can be created with the gear sets that are currently under criticism?

However, keep in mind that Title Update 3, which also includes the raid, makes several changes to weapon and gear talents. Some talents will be revised, but the current gear sets will also be slightly improved. So keep this in mind for your builds.
But even if the update doesn’t appear in the same form as on the PTS, good set pieces with strong stats are just as important as the talents.
How do I best farm gear? There are many different ways to obtain loot. You can play missions, complete strongholds, or capture checkpoints.

Expand your weapon arsenal
Here’s why you should carry multiple weapons: Just like with the builds, it’s the same with your weapons.
Since no one knows what to expect from the raid, you should be prepared for anything. Consequently, it is also helpful to have several weapons ready.
- Everyone should have a sniper rifle because there will likely be many enemy snipers.
- LMGs are particularly good for putting spawn points under fire and stopping incoming rushers (shotgun guys).
- Assault rifles are good all-rounders at almost any distance.
- Rifles are also a good compromise, as they can take out enemies at longer distances while not being helpless against closer enemies.
At increased difficulty, there is often the risk that players will run out of ammunition in combat.
For this reason alone, it can be worthwhile to have other weapon classes, as they have different ammunition and are a good reserve.

Collect all blueprints
Here’s why you should collect blueprints: In line with the above points, you should gradually acquire all blueprints.
This way, you can not only craft weapons and even certain brand gear, but you also expand your selection of weapon mods.
How to obtain blueprints? Currently, there are three ways to get blueprints:
- Side missions
- Checkpoints at alert levels 3 or 4
- Projects (only certain ones)
With Title Update 3, new daily projects will be introduced that will definitely give you blueprints.
Develop your specializations
Here’s why you should develop specializations: In the raid, you will have a total of eight players on your team. Each will therefore have a specialization.
Moreover, it is possible to start the raid via the matchmaking feature. With a fixed team, you will likely already have some distribution concerning who plays which specialization. But what about possible random players?
If everyone has developed all three possible specializations, you can freely adapt to the group. And who knows, perhaps there will be a situation in the raid where it will be particularly helpful to have eight grenade launchers ready.
These are the 3 specializations:
- The Demolitionist with their grenade launcher
- The Survivalist with their explosive crossbow
- The Sharpshooter with their .50 caliber sniper rifle
When can we expect the raid? Originally, the raid was supposed to be released on April 25, along with Title Update 3.
Massive roughly postponed both to May and opened a PTS (Public Test Server) for PC players. The update is currently being tested there.
However, the raid is not available on the PTS as Massive wants to keep it secret until release.
All that is currently known about the raid has been summarized here for you:
