This week, numerous Guardians have the opportunity to obtain the third Seed of Light in Destiny 2 without the raid. The coveted item has now been discovered through a bounty.
Guardians may have worried for nothing: The third Seed of Light, which unlocks the new abilities and Supers from Forsaken, has now been found through a bounty. Players had already feared that the last Seed could only be unlocked through the raid.
How to get your last Seed
Seed reachable through bounty: The third Seed has been found this week through the already known bounty “Tor between the Worlds” and the Oracle. For the bounty, you need to go to the Blind Well, the new group activity in Forsaken. To complete the bounty, you need to score points in the Well:
- Level 1 of the activity gives you +10% upon completion.
- Level 2 of the activity gives you +20% upon completion.
- Level 3 of the activity gives you +30% upon completion.
Once you have reached the required points, you will be rewarded with an offering for the Oracle.

Oracle different this week: In previous weeks, a chest appeared after delivering the offering. However, this week no chest appears, as the Oracle opens and players are allowed to pass through.
On the other side awaits the third Seed of Light.
Why were the Guardians worried? Players were initially unsure how to reach the last Seed of Light. Many watched the “World First” race in the raid “Last Wish” and were dismayed when the Seed dropped after the first boss.
Many players feared they would be forced into the raid to unlock the final abilities of their class. But Bungie responded promptly, stating that there would be other ways to obtain the third Seed.
Players speculate about the factors for the Seed
What else is confusing the players? Guardians are currently unsure which factors play a role in the drop of the Seed.
It could be that the Guardians have had to complete the bounty for three weeks to then receive the Seed in the third week. Another theory is that the Seed appears when the corruption of the city is at its worst, as it has been this week since September 25.
Lastly, it is also possible that the last Seed now always drops per character during this bounty, after the city has already gone through a cycle. If you know more or have other theories, feel free to share them in the comments.
