The next event is upcoming in Pokémon GO. In addition to a Pokémon debut, you can also look forward to an increased shiny chance.
What kind of event is this? The event “Pokémon Horizons: The Series – Event” starts on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM and ends on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 8:00 PM. The series is themed around Season 2 of Pokémon Horizons.
How do I get Forgita? During the event, Forgita will be available for the first time in Pokémon GO. You can obtain the Pokémon by hatching 7 km eggs from the event. Forgita can evolve into Tafforgita for 25 candies and further into Granforgita for an additional 100 candies.

- Schneckmag*
- Nasgnet*
- Schneppke*
- Felori*
- Feliospa with Hat and Likos Pin*

- Pikachu with Captain’s Hat* (rare)

Which monsters are in eggs? You can also hatch special Pokémon from 7 km eggs during the event. These include:

Which Pokémon are in raids? You will also find event monsters in raids that you can challenge, defeat, and catch.

What bonuses are available at the event? While you are active in the event, you can look forward to the following bonuses:
- more frequent appearance of Team GO Rocket balloons
- halved distance for eggs placed in incubators during the event
- increased shiny chance for Pikachu with Captain’s Hat as well as Feliospa with Hat and Likos Pin
Additional event content: If you catch a Pikachu with a Captain’s Hat during the event, the monster will know the charged attack Volt Tackle. This deals 90 damage and lowers the opponent’s defense by one stage in trainer battles.
Additionally, you can again complete event field research during the event, as well as receive a free limited-time research that grants you experience points, stardust, and event Pokémon. PokéStop showcases are also part of the event again.
If you take snapshots during the event, you may encounter characters and Pokémon from the Horizons series.
