In the new MMORPG New World there are some tricky quests. The quest marker for the task “A Threat One After Another” is supposed to lead you to Bo’sun Ambrose, but it doesn’t do so exactly. We at MeinMMO will show you where the pirate is located and how you can defeat him.
How do you find Bo’sun Ambrose? The pirate hides at least as well as the treasure he buries. Following the quest marker of the quest “A Threat One After Another” will lead you to Nyhart’s Anchor, but there you will wait in vain for the boss, who is hiding in his cave.
To find this cave, turn to the east at the dock and walk straight ahead until you spot a staircase leading down. If you follow this staircase, you will soon stand in front of a cave entrance guarded by pirates.
You should clear these pirates out of the way now, as they will otherwise follow you to the boss, making the fight even harder. Once you have found the cave entrance, just keep going straight. You will follow the cave around a bend and then find Bo’sun Ambrose after a few meters.
However, he has the same problem as the boss fight against Alastor the Watchful, namely that he is not always there. The fight against Ambrose takes place not in an instance, but in the open world. So, if the pirate is currently dead, you will have to wait until he reappears.
Amazon advises impatient players to restart the quest via the journal (key J) or even restart the entire game. This may cause the pirate to appear for you, allowing you to complete the quest.

How to Defeat Bo’sun Ambrose
How does the fight against the pirate go? Bo’sun Ambrose is equipped with a heavy but slow melee weapon. As already explained above, you should eliminate all of his minions on the way to him. This makes the fight considerably easier.
The fight against Bo’sun Ambrose can be approached well, especially at range. He is slow but deals a lot of damage if he hits you. You should therefore try to keep the Bo’sun at a distance as much as possible. Especially abilities and enhancements that slow down the opponent are particularly good here.
In melee, we recommend quick, short attacks so that you can back away before getting hit by him. If you keep these tips in mind, you should have no problem defeating Bo’sun Ambrose.
