Even in “The Division 2“, the current situation regarding the Corona virus is noticeable. However, the post-apocalyptic world of the shooter will not stand still.
What is happening in Division 2 right now? Anyone who has launched The Division 2 today had to download the new update. This focused on nerfs to NPCs and PvP weapons, but also brought many bug fixes. Work on the game continues.
However, players will probably have to expect a bit of slowing down soon. The developers hinted at this in the latest “State of the Game” stream, which we will embed here for you.
The Division 2 broadcasts from the home office
In the stream: The virus game The Division 2 is also significantly affected by the current global situation. This is already clear from the stream itself: As in the previous week, the developers only talked from their own home offices instead of meeting for the stream.
Apart from a brief discussion about the update, they also addressed the current situation. They are working as hard as they can on the game – just from home: “After all, we have a game to support and we are doing everything we can to make sure you can play it,” said host Hamish Bode. However, it is currently the case that everything takes a bit longer than usual.
What’s coming next? The developers announced that after the fixes from the current update, they want to address further corrections. The priority is the DPS glitch. This was supposed to have been fixed already, but players still seem to find ways to exploit the problem and deal massive amounts of damage. A condition that the developers want to fix as quickly as possible – preferably without simply disabling turrets. Also high on the list are the bug issues with the gear sets, which affect specific set talents.
In addition to bug fixes, The Division 2 will also be supplied with new content. This includes a new clothing event called “Urban Jungle,” which will start on March 31 and run until the end of April. This is expected to provide new outfits and also a new mask.
Players can also look forward to double XP at the start of the event, and the next manhunt of Season 1 will start. So there’s a lot in store for the next few weeks. What comes next from the home office of the Massive developers can be found here in the summary of Season 1.
- Recently, however, players have demanded that content be possibly scaled back a bit.
