The update 0.149.0 of Pokémon GO also brought the first Crypto Pokémon into the game. Data miner Chrales has already shown the new monsters.
What are Crypto Pokémon? This new type of Pokémon will soon come to the game. It is directly related to Team Rocket, which has also been found in the game data.
Team Rocket will probably battle with these Pokémon, and your task will be to catch and purify the monsters. Through purification, the Crypto Pokémon will return to normal.
This is the first look at Crypto Pokémon
Where do the images come from? The data miner Chrales hosted a live stream in which he showcased the first images of the Crypto Pokémon. They were added with the latest update but have not yet been activated for players.
How can you recognize the Crypto Pokémon? They are clearly visible. There is a purple mist around the Pokémon, and the monsters have red eyes.
Which Pokémon have been found as Crypto? The list of potential Crypto Pokémon is long. For each of the respective Pokémon, 3 variations were found:
- the normal version
- the Crypto version
- the purified version
In total, over 100 of these Pokémon have been found. So not all monsters can be Crypto, but a large part can be. This also includes legendary Pokémon.
What should a purified Pokémon be able to do? From the last update, we know that these Pokémon should have better IV and cost less Stardust when leveling up.
In the images from Chrales, strange costs for leveling up can be seen. This is due to the fact that this is just the find from the data miner and not the original images from Niantic. Therefore, much will still change here.
What does this find tell us now? Crypto Pokémon are in the game! They have not yet been activated, but it seems that this can be easily adjusted.
Data has also been found regarding Team Rocket, and Niantic itself is also already giving hints. It may not be long before Team Rocket and the Crypto Pokémon are brought into the game.
