The MMORPG Revelation Online has received a major update. But will the content be enough to save the MMORPG?
The MMORPG Revelation Online is struggling with declining player numbers. The community seems to barely exist anymore. Now the question arises how the newly released, large update could breathe new life into the game.

Almost a New Beginning
What does the update bring? New Sulan revises the area around the main quest line. It should make it more exciting to follow the story.
- The entire area is supposed to become more vibrant and interesting
- The city is to become a hub where players like to meet
- The developers want to finally create the “Sulan City” that they have long wanted in the game
- New quests will bring players closer to the revised zone
- The user interface of Revelation Online will also be revised and made more intuitive
- The developers are reworking the dungeon and raid system, including difficulty levels, achievements, and rewards
- The “Darkfall Dungeon” will get an expert mode for players from level 55. You will encounter new bosses and monsters there
- New daily quests for players from level 20
- Rebalancing of classes, especially Vanguard, Occultist, and Spiritshaper
- Adjustments to the guilds, including new buffs and an automated replacement for an absent guild leader
The MMORPG seems Dead
How are players reacting? The community still has many open questions regarding New Sulan. Especially regarding the balancing. Nevertheless, fans are looking forward to the expansion and are very curious about how the MMO will change as a result.
Revelation Online is Stumbling: The MMORPG is currently facing a general problem: It seems dead and the declining player numbers underline this impression. In the German forum, there are hardly any discussions taking place, and there is little talk about it on Reddit. Even the Steam launch couldn’t convince. Furthermore, there is no longer a team that takes care of a separate “West version”.
Therefore, it is all the more important that the community is “awakened” with the new update. Whether this is enough to save the MMO will be revealed in the coming weeks and months.
