Place 6: Gimli

Gimli is the somewhat stubborn but good-natured dwarf in the Fellowship of the Ring. He is the son of Glóin from the lineage of Durin and belonged to the royal house of the dwarves of Erebor.

Compared to men, dwarves can live very long, about 250 years. At the time of the War of the Ring, Gimli was therefore a young adult.

Actor John Rhys-Davies was of course significantly younger than his role. Now he is thinking about a return as Gimli in the new “Lord of the Rings” movie.
