AMD and Nvidia have released many new graphics cards in recent months. The cards are intended to appeal to both enthusiasts and interested gamers. But how much are you actually willing to spend on a graphics card?
Here’s the deal: In recent months, both AMD and Nvidia have announced several new graphics cards:
- The Radeon RX 6800 (XT) and 6900 are already available in stores. AMD has also now presented the RX 6700 XT.
- Nvidia has released its RTX 3000 series over the past few weeks. Recently, the GeForce RTX 3060 has been added.
What is the current situation? As of the time of writing (March 9, 2021), you can’t get a current graphics card at the manufacturer’s original price. This is partly due to the fact that production has decreased because of the Corona pandemic.
This decreases availability, and prices for graphics cards rise. Scalpers make a lot of money selling graphics cards, but you are not paying much less at many online retailers.
Graphics cards like the GeForce RTX 3060 currently cost 700 Euros, although the MSRP is 330 Euros.
Even old graphics cards are currently gaining significant value, so you can make good money selling your old graphics card:
Your opinion is needed: How much are you willing to pay for a new graphics card? Are you influenced in your purchasing decision by the current situation, or do you have a firm pain threshold that you will not exceed? Tell us in the comments.
