The biggest update of 2018 for Elite Dangerous, Beyond Chapter 4, has been released. We will reveal what’s included in the update.
The developer Frontier has introduced several new features in the latest update. This was already announced in October.
The game now features “Squadrons”, where players can join online clans. Players can also expect improved mining and exploration mechanics in Beyond Chapter 4, which will change the gameplay.

This is Squadrons: Fans have been waiting a long time for this feature. With the new update, the Squadrons feature finally arrives. This allows players to form their own groups and fly together through space in multiplayer mode. With your clan, you can wage wars and complete missions together. There’s also a leaderboard that measures the various groups.
How mining is improved: You will receive new tools for mining that can even blow up asteroids. You can then collect the remnants, which are significantly more rewarding than before. New mechanics are designed to make mining more exciting for players.
These are the new exploration mechanics: The analysis mode has been completely revised. The Exploration Discovery Scanner and Detailed Discovery Scanner have been improved, allowing you to scan and analyze celestial bodies in greater detail. A new probe will save you a lot of time. You can shoot this at planets to obtain a precise analysis.
What else is new? The developers also introduce two new ships in the press release. Additionally, the update is said to bring visual improvements and fix various bugs.
