A leak reveals that Dead by Daylight is once again hosting a Halloween event. And it brings the best skins the game has ever had.
Various events have been an established part of Dead by Daylight for some time. In addition to the typical “Double Bloodpoints” weekends, which are especially worthwhile for new players, there are also other events. Last year, the developers launched the “Hallowed Blight” event for the first time, featuring new mechanics and unlockable skins.
A leak now reveals that this event is returning and showcases the new skins.
The “Hallowed Blight” returns to Dead by Daylight
Here are the new skins: A banner from the game data has already been read, which serves as artwork for the “Hallowed Blight” event. Here you can see the new skins of a total of 5 characters:
- Spirit (Ghost)
- Hag (Witch)
- Clown
- Plague (Plague)
- Jake
As in the previous year, the bodies of the killers are gruesomely deformed and in some places they seem to be “melting” while yellow glowing serum drips from their bodies. This causes mutations and creepy glowing effects.
The skin of the survivor Jake, on the other hand, seems to be a scientist or his assistant, as he also has serum on his body, but only superficially and not injected into the body.
Why is the event so popular?? The “Hallowed Blight” event brought some of the most interesting skins available in Dead by Daylight last year. Although these could be purchased for real money, a good amount of them could also be earned. In addition, there was a new small cinematic every few days that revealed a bit of the event’s backstory. This was particularly well received by players, as they learned more about the world of the Entity for the first time.
What is different this time? However, the event will not unfold exactly like last year. This time, survivors probably won’t have to “milk plants” to get serum. Instead, they only need to repair special generators. This is at least suggested by the special offerings that have already been updated in the game data.
When does the event start? There is still no exact date for the “Hallowed Blight” event. As the name suggests, it will likely take place around “Halloween” – that is, probably in the last weeks of October.
Cortyn says: Honestly, looking at the skins makes my mouth water. If the skins for the Ghost and the Witch look even remotely as good as in the picture, they will definitely be the new “standard” for me. It is certainly nice to see that Dead by Daylight is sticking to the popular event and continuing to expand it.
