In a forum post on reddit, Bungie’s community manager and spokesperson DeeJ gives fans a taste of what they can expect from the DLC “Darkness Awaits”. Because this DLC is supposed to not only expand the world, bring new missions, new weapons and armor, but also change the gameplay experience of Guardians in Destiny. They want the now formed “collecting instincts” to transform more back into hunting instincts.
The time that Guardians spend in Destiny is to be used more productively, so players can achieve their self-set goals and become stronger faster. DeeJ talks about faster development and accelerated progress: The cold-blooded killers should be able to spend more time with their favorite activity and less time on the “farm.”
More specific details could or would not be revealed by the community manager yet. He leaves that to the developers themselves.
A patch is expected next week, which is supposed to strengthen exotic weapons, among other things.
DeeJ’s remarks could refer, for example, to how Guardians are currently collecting planetary materials.
