Many players have already wished for an expansion of the rank system in Battlefield 5 shortly after its launch. In the upcoming fourth chapter “Against All Odds,” DICE will finally meet this demand.
Many fans have wished for this: Battlefield 5 currently offers only 50 career ranks. Furthermore, players cannot level up beyond this. Many players find this insufficient.
Shortly after the launch of Battlefield 5, voices rose calling for an expansion of the rank system. This would add another component that would motivate many in the long run.
This will change soon: DICE has also noticed this criticism. With the upcoming fourth “Tides of War” chapter, there will finally be more ranks. The rewards will also be adjusted accordingly.

Players will be able to earn so-called promotions when they achieve certain milestones on their way to the new level cap. And between these milestones, they will be able to earn a lot of Company Coins.
This is how the rank system of Battlefield 5 is changing
This is changing with the ranks: The most significant change is the massive jump in the level cap. The new highest rank will be 500 after the change.
So far, the max level is at 50. Players will likely take a while to reach the new cap. Players will earn a promotion every 50 levels – for the first time at rank 100. The next promotion will be at rank 150.
This is what the rewards system looks like: With the new rank system, the rewards will also be adjusted accordingly. The in-game currency “Company Coins” will no longer be awarded at the end of a match; instead, players will receive them for rank advancements.
For each rank advancement between promotions (at levels 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, and 500), players will receive a new dog tag plus a new rank badge for the scoreboard.
For each rank advancement between the promotions, players will earn Company Coins – and quite a lot of them. For example, between rank 50 and 70, players will earn 1,500 Company Coins per advancement, and from rank 70 onward, it will be 3,000. After that, it gets a bit more complicated, which is why DICE has provided a separate spreadsheet online.
DICE noted that players will have earned almost 2 million Company Coins when they reach rank 500. With that, some cosmetics from the arsenal will be doable. Even after reaching the level cap, this currency can still be earned through assignments as well as daily and “Tides of War” missions.
When exactly will this change come? DICE has not specified this yet. There is no fixed date. It has only been said that the rank increase will come into play sometime later in the course of the fourth “Tides of War” chapter “Against All Odds.” Chapter 4 is expected to start sometime in June.
