A curious bug is causing problems in HotS. Those who “taunt” their enemies crash the game directly.
With the major update 2.0 of Heroes of the Storm, not only were numerous new features and rewards added to the Blizzard MOBA, but also some minor and major issues.
With the update, there is not only the normal “taunt” as an emote, but also a special version, the “Mastery Taunt” – basically the “being mean” with a little more style. With every few level-ups, the taunting is presented a little more impressively. This feature essentially replaces the formerly unlockable color variations of a hero, which have now become individual skins.
The problem is: The Mastery Taunts led to a disconnect in many cases when trying to load into a game. In response, Blizzard has temporarily disabled the Mastery Taunts and is currently working on a patch.
Another bug causes the heroes to be quite silent at the start of a match. Normally, two heroes always have an audible dialogue. They either encourage each other or tease a bit if they know each other from other game worlds. But that is currently disabled, and only a few players get to enjoy this “chitchat” that should be played at the start of a match.
This is simply a bug, and these dialogues should be reactivated with the next patch. Because who wouldn’t want to listen to Kael’thas asking Sylvanas if she “wouldn’t disappoint his people again”?
There is still no specific date for the patch; usually, Blizzard rolls them out overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday, provided a corresponding patch is matured by then.
