Heroes of the Store – The Heroes of the Department Store
At BlizzCon, as every year, several competitions were held where the community could showcase their creations related to all Blizzard games. Besides the popular cosplay competition, there is also always an art and a video competition.
This year’s first place outshines the winners of previous years and tackles a somewhat absurd theme. How would it be if the heroes of Heroes of the Storm had to line up to buy the game in the store and there are only a few copies left? This is exactly the question that Chris Kellet and Greg Stewart answer in their 3-minute clip “Heroes of the Store”:
With this video, they secured first place at BlizzCon, where the attention to detail and the sheer number of cosplays used were likely decisive. From Leeroy Jenkins to Deckard Cain, many references to potential heroes appear, and especially the funny connection between Hearthstone (with its own game board!) and Heroes of the Storm pleased me.
