A new skin in Heroes of the Storm gets the fans excited. D.Va as “Destroyer” captures the hearts of players.
Because the Nexus of Heroes of the Storm is quite a wild place, the developers can unleash crazier ideas there than in original games like Overwatch or World of Warcraft. They can merge the two universes and create something entirely new. This was the case with the “Destroyer D.Va” skin, which will likely be implemented in the game with the next patch.
This combines the cheerful heroine D.Va from Overwatch, also known as Hana Song, with an appearance from Deathwing, a.k.a. Neltharion or the Deathwing.
From the once friendly, vivacious, and quite ambitious D.Va, she transforms into a dark Gothic annihilator, whose mech also looks like a dragon.

And the fans love it! Even before the release, hundreds of fan arts are appearing online, thrilled by this new design. Hardly anyone seems to get enough of the dark variant of Hana Song, who looks more like a threat to humanity – rather than the radiant savior she actually is.
The colleagues at Kotaku have compiled the most beautiful and coolest fan arts, here’s a small selection of them:
If Blizzard finally fulfills the threat from the past and releases the map “Blizzneyland” in Overwatch, it would be the perfect time to grant D.Va this skin in Overwatch as well – as it is sure to be extremely successful already.
What do you think about these “crossover” skins in Heroes of the Storm? Are they a cool thing? Or do they just dilute the flair of the individual games and create a silly mishmash?
