The so-called Hot Spots in Fortnite are places where there is a lot of loot for you. In Week 6 of Season 9, they are part of the challenges.
Week 6 in Season 9: In the sixth week of Season 9, the Hot Spots play an important role. Because for the challenges you should:
- Search 3 chests at Hot Spots
- Search 3 ammo boxes at Hot Spots
- And eliminate an opponent at a Hot Spot
To complete the task, it is best to travel to one of these Hot Spots early in a match. Because at the beginning of a round, the chances are higher that you will find unopened chests and boxes there.

Since many players fly to these Hot Spots right at the beginning of a round to grab the loot, your chances of encountering opponents are also increased.
Getting an elimination there should therefore be easy. But be aware that at the start of Week 6, there are likely to be even more opponents there than usual. Because other players also want to complete the task there.
Hot Spots in Fortnite – What you need to know
What are Hot Spots? In Season 9, Fortnite launched this feature, which turns certain locations on the map of Fortnite into a loot paradise.
Little drones fly everywhere in the air, carrying loot. As a player, you simply shoot 2-3 times at such a drone to bring it down. As a reward, the flying loot carriers drop interesting items for you. These can be weapons, shields, or other useful items.

Where can you find Hot Spots? These Hot Spots are determined randomly in matches. They stand out on the map because the text at the locations is colored. Instead of the typical white text, the places appear with yellow/golden text.
In the following image, you can see a comparison of Lucky Landing as a normal version and as a Hot Spot.

In each match, several locations can even be active as Hot Spots.
