Funny scenes are happening in PUBG streams. Cars approach the streamers and honk continuously. If shots are fired at the cars, they quickly drive away. The new honking feature in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a test of patience for popular streamers.
The battle royale shooter PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds received a new feature with the last patch that has already stressed some players’ nerves within the first hours. We’re not talking about an overpowered weapon or an invincibility trick, but honking. Car honking.
The honking is now used to really annoy streamers. If players find a streamer in their match, they approach with continuous honking and circle the streamer until they die or quickly flee. For popular streamers, the stream honkers are just as annoying as stream snipers.
Not just killing, but also annoying
In the August update for PUBG, there were not only 1st-person servers and a new weapon but also functioning car honking. Players quickly found ways to use these honks particularly annoyingly.
Instead of killing streamers with “sniping,” they circle around them with honking cars. The constant honking quickly becomes tiresome and throws the streamers off balance.
In the PUBG community, “stream honking” quickly replaced “stream sniping” for many players. Sniping is indeed a reason for banning in the battle royale game. However, the rules do not prohibit visiting streamers and “entertaining” them with honking concerts.
Stream Honking instead of Stream Sniping
A popular target for the “honking” is the player Grimmmz, one of the best-known streamers in the PUBG community. He recently drew attention to himself because he believes that bans for stream snipers are justified. With this opinion, he drew the wrath of many players who were apparently wrongfully banned for this offense.
Clips in which Grimmmz was annoyed by stream honking have now been removed from his Twitch channel. However, they can still be found in the Google cache. Here is the Twitch clip on webcache.googleusercontent.com
As an outsider, stream honking is funny, but what is it like from the streamer’s perspective? Being constantly pursued by honking cars while wanting to play your game can quickly become annoying. Will there soon be a honking regulation that limits it to 10 honks per minute? In the following video, you will see more honking scenes from PUBG
