However, at the beginning of his career, he had to share an apartment with other actors to make ends meet.
One of his roommates was Brad Pitt, as he mentioned in an interview with etonline in February 2018.
In the early 90s, the two young actors, who were just at the beginning of their careers, lived together with another person in a small apartment in L.A.
Jason Priestley met Brad Pitt through his roommate, who simply brought the actor into the shared apartment.
I opened the door to my room and there was just this guy sleeping in my bed. And I asked:

Since then, they shared an apartment with only 2 rooms among the three of them. At that time, as they were neither in relationships nor had stable jobs, they regularly held an extraordinary competition:
We always held these competitions to see who could go the longest without showering.

There was always a clear winner, as Jason Priestley recounted: “Brad always won.” However, they had to stop their competition whenever they were invited to an audition and needed to get presentable.

As the actors had only a small budget, they mainly survived on beer and instant ramen noodles at that time.
However, the actors also benefited from living together in a shared apartment: they practiced their lines together and went through their scenes.
