The anime MMORPG Blue Protocol has had to postpone its tests in Japan and is now announcing a new date. Future players are now discussing whether this will affect the global release.
Blue Protocol is considered one of the biggest MMORPG hopes for 2023. On January 14, the developers Bandai Namco had originally planned a network test in Japan, which they had to postpone due to a serious bug. Initially for an indefinite period.
Developers announce a new date for the tests
In a post on their website dated January 25, they state that they have identified the error and can fix it. “We are still investigating and improving the issue that led to the decision to postpone the network test,” the developers say. They do not specify what the exact problem is.
They name March 31, 2023, as the new date for the tests in Japan.
How does this affect the release? Blue Protocol is set to be released in spring 2023 in Japan and in the second half of the year in the West. It is conceivable, but not certain, that the release will be delayed due to the postponement of the tests.

Fans discuss the global release
Under a post on reddit regarding the postponement of the tests, fans are now wondering about the global release of the MMORPG. Some believe that the release will not be delayed because of this, while others fear a release only in 2024.
